KY County Courthouse Tour (4)

Blue = Counties Visited (41 of 120)
Red-White-Green = Future Trips

Many of Kentucky's counties are building new "Justice Centers". Normally I will take a photo of the first courthouse I come to unless I find one more interesting than the other. I have found these historic courthouses are very much part of my exploration of Kentucky and it's history, in addition to using them to document my progress across the state.

Lebanon, KY

This is a photo of the Marion County Executive Bldg, taken Monday morning at dawn . The brand new courthouse is currently under construction next door.

The old Nelson County Courthouse on the Bardstown square is a very interesting building by any measure!

From my perspective, the newer "Justice Centers" lack the historic charm and uniqueness that you will find in many of the older courthouses. Adair and Barren County are two prime examples.
